Dragon Spirit - Blue dragon shoot em up with seriously good music.

The game is awful. The pacing is too slow. It feels like going through menus on an office suite, but with music.

Yet, I am compelled to play it because I seriously love the music. I only persevered to see what the music was like on the higher levels and they didn't disappoint.

Things to ponder.

  • I like the blue dragon and it also has some animation, albeit limited.
  • The first level boss was surprisingly menacing.
  • The music makes me want to play a rhythm game.
  • I feel like I want to buy the soundtrack.

The PC Engine - Instant fun in a small package.

I like how things instantly load when you put cartridges into them. The credit card size cartridges makes me want to collect them.

Things to ponder.

  • It's small.
  • It takes credit card sized cartridges and load instantly.
  • The graphics are cute and pleasant to the eyes.
  • The music on most games makes me happy.
  • The music on my 360 makes me want to serve my country, with a BFG.

8 Bit of An Intro

For me, due to lifestyle changes, I can no longer play FPS shooters or involve myself with RPGs. I just need a quick fix of arcade action with no involvement at all. I'm thinking 8 bit.

My brother used to collect a lot of old video game consoles and most I've never heard of. I dusted some of them off and started one or two. I needed help to connect some of them to the TV.

Something I've always wondered, why do I have to blow on them to get them working?
